While smoking a cigaret in Siberia, a man named Dima is killed by an unknown creature.

In Oxford streets, two Entelodons roam the streets, killing three people and almost killing Jenny. A few weeks later an anomaly opens and lets through some Euparkeria, which one bites Abby. Unknowingly, they are being watched by Helen Cutter. Nick goes to his old University with Connor and Abby, and are held at gunpoint by Medyevin and Koshkin. Jenny and Hemple find out they have been kidnapped.

After being smuggled into Siberia, they encounter an anoamly problem the russians had been having.
